How many cities are on the GTA 6 map, and what are they called? It's one of the most-searched questions about Leonida, and one where you'll see a lot of confident lists that are really just leaks. Here's the disciplined version: the one confirmed city, then everything else kept clearly separate.

The confirmed city: Vice City
Vice City is the one officially confirmed city on the GTA 6 map, and Rockstar has named several other areas around it:
- Vice City. Rockstar's Miami, the main city and urban heart of Leonida, shown extensively in official GTA 6 trailers. Confirmed
Everything we know for certain about settlements on the map starts and, for now, ends with Vice City. It gets its own full guide covering its neon strips, beaches and waterfront.
What the trailers confirm beyond Vice City
Vice City is the only place Rockstar presents as a big city, but its official site also names Port Gellhorn, a run-down coastal town of cheap motels, dying strip malls and faded attractions, and Ambrosia, the heartland region with "old school values" and a local biker gang. Rockstar's June 2026 edition descriptions add smaller named spots such as Watson Bay, Washington Beach and Lake Leonida. The full list, with sources, is in our official place names article. Beyond the names, the trailers show:
- Small towns and settlements. Modest communities along rural roads, gas stations, storefronts, low-rise streets, appear in official material, confirming that populated places exist outside the main city. Confirmed

- Rural and coastal communities. Beachside and countryside living is visible, implying a spread of settlement types across the state. Confirmed
So it's confirmed that Leonida has towns beyond Vice City. Some now have official names; many smaller settlements still do not.
Other city and town names (from leaks, unverified)
This is where most "GTA 6 cities list" articles overreach. Plenty of additional settlement names circulate, largely from datamines and the 2022 leak. We list the category of claim, clearly tagged, rather than presenting any name as real:
- Additional named cities. Leaks suggest one or more sizeable cities beyond Vice City, with specific names attached. None are officially confirmed. Per leaks/datamines, unverified. Leak / rumour
- Named towns and counties. A range of town and county names appears in leak-based "full maps." These are unverified. Per leaks, unverified. Leak / rumour
- Total settlement counts. "Leonida has X cities and Y towns" figures depend entirely on leaked geography. Per leaks, unverified. Leak / rumour
We don't print the specific leaked names as a checklist, because doing so quietly turns rumour into apparent fact. If you want to understand where these names came from, the leaked map page explains the 2022 leak and how to read it.
How the settlements fit the map
Whatever their final names, Leonida's towns sit within a varied Florida-style world: Vice City as the urban anchor, surrounded by beaches, swamp, keys and rural roads. The mix of one big city plus scattered smaller communities is itself confirmed by official footage, it's only the names and counts that remain unconfirmed. See the bigger picture on the locations hub and the map vs real life page.

The interactive GTA 6 map is the best way to see how cities and towns sit across Leonida, confirmed places are tagged differently from speculative ones, so you always know what's solid. From there, dive into Vice City for the one city we can fully detail today.
Bottom line
The GTA 6 map's only confirmed big city is Vice City. Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia are officially named, along with a few smaller places in Rockstar's edition copy. Every other city or town name you've seen is a leak until Rockstar names it. We'll add new settlements to the confirmed list the moment they're officially revealed. Quick questions? Check the FAQ.
