Vice City is confirmed, and central

There's no ambiguity here. Rockstar's official GTA 6 trailers put Vice City front and centre:

Vice City is the main city of Leonida. It's the urban core of the state and the focal point of the map. Confirmed

Series fans will remember Vice City from earlier games as Rockstar's long-running Miami stand-in; GTA 6 brings it back as a fully modern, living city.

What the trailers show of the city

While Rockstar hasn't published a labelled district map, the official footage clearly shows several distinct kinds of place inside Vice City:

The real-life Miami behind Vice City

Vice City has always been Rockstar's love letter to Miami, and GTA 6's version leans into it: the beach culture, the art-deco strips, the causeways, the tropical light and the boat-friendly waterfront all trace back to South Florida.
