GTA6map.org is an independent fan resource dedicated to one thing: helping you understand the GTA 6 map without being misled. We track the world of Grand Theft Auto VI, the state of Leonida and its main city, Vice City, and we keep confirmed facts and unverified leaks strictly apart.
Who publishes GTA6map.org
The site is published by Media Digital Business L.L.C.-FZ, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. A small editorial team writes the guides, maintains the marker data behind the map and answers reader mail at [email protected]. The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense; no game company pays us or reviews our pages.
What this site is
This is a fan project built by enthusiasts who care about getting the details right. At its centre is an interactive map of the world Rockstar has revealed so far, surrounded by guides that explain what's actually known. We're not a news aggregator chasing every rumour as a headline; our whole value is the opposite, being the place that tells you plainly what's confirmed and what isn't.
How we source information
Our sourcing rule is simple and we apply it everywhere on the site:
- Confirmed means Rockstar has shown or stated it directly, in official Grand Theft Auto VI trailers, announcements or posts. Only these claims get the "Confirmed" badge.
- Leak / rumour covers everything else: datamined details, the 2022 footage leak, fan map reconstructions and community size estimates. We label these clearly as unverified and never present them as fact.
When the two could be confused, we separate them into different sections on the page. We'd rather tell you "this isn't confirmed yet" than guess, saying what isn't known is part of the job, not a gap in it.
How a marker gets on the map
Every pin on the interactive map goes through the same three questions:
- Has Rockstar published the name? Trailers, the official Grand Theft Auto VI site, Newswire posts and official edition or store copy count. If yes, the marker is labelled Confirmed. Example: the six major areas named on the official site in May 2025, and Watson Bay, which appeared in Rockstar's Ultimate Edition description in June 2026.
- Is there more than one independent source for the position? Positions come from trailer geography and community mapping, and are always described as estimates in the popup.
- Is the only source a leak? Then the marker is labelled Rumoured, or left off entirely. Lummox County, which exists only in a disputed leaked image, is not on the map for that reason.
How often we update
We review the map and the guides whenever Rockstar publishes something new, and check it regularly in the weeks before launch. Each page shows a "Last updated" date under its heading, and dated changes are listed on the news page. After the release on 19 November 2026, the in-game map becomes our primary source and every marker will be re-checked against it.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, email [email protected] with the page and, ideally, a source. We correct verified errors promptly. In news articles we add a note at the bottom saying what changed and when, rather than silently rewriting the text. If something we listed as a rumour is officially confirmed or contradicted, the relevant marker and guide are updated to match.
What we don't do
- We don't host, link to or reproduce leaked footage.
- We don't dress up leaks as facts to chase clicks.
- We don't claim insider knowledge or fabricate sources, team credentials or "exclusives."
We're upfront that we're enthusiasts, not insiders. That honesty is exactly why the confirmed-versus-rumour line stays sharp here.
