Every Leonida Place Rockstar Has Officially Named

With less than four weeks until Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026, a lot of "complete" location lists are circulating. Most of them mix three very different things: names Rockstar has published, names read off leaked material, and names fans invented to label a blank area of a reconstructed map. This article lists only the first group, sorted by where Rockstar published each name, and explains what that means for the markers on our interactive map.

Group 1: the six major areas

When Rockstar released the second trailer on 6 May 2025, it also introduced the main areas of the state of Leonida on the official Grand Theft Auto VI site. These are the backbone of the map.

Area How Rockstar presents it
Vice City The glossy main city: upscale hotels, nightlife and the sands of Ocean Beach.
Leonida Keys A tropical island chain with, in Rockstar's words, "the most beautiful and most dangerous waters in America".
Grassrivers Swamp and mangrove country with alligators and worse.
Port Gellhorn A run-down coastal town of cheap motels, dying strip malls and faded attractions.
Ambrosia The heartland, with "old school values" and a local biker gang keeping watch.
Mount Kalaga National Park A large wild area on the northern border for hunting, fishing and off-road trails.

All six are tagged Confirmed on our map. Their exact positions are still community estimates, because Rockstar has not published a top-down map. Our locations hub describes each area in more depth, and the cities page covers which of them are towns rather than regions.

Group 2: names from edition and pre-order descriptions

On 24 June 2026, the day before pre-orders opened, Rockstar detailed the two editions and the pre-order bonus. The descriptions name several smaller places, which is useful precisely because they are not marketing taglines but locations you will visit.

  • Ocean Beach (Vice City). The Vintage Vice City Pack includes a '55 Vapid Stanier kept in the Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach.
  • Watson Bay. The Ultimate Edition's '67 Vapid Dominator buggy is stored in a garage in Watson Bay.
  • Lake Leonida. One-Eyed Willie's, one of two vehicle mod shops in the Ultimate Edition, is placed at Lake Leonida.
  • Washington Beach. The Ultimate Edition's Shitzu Squalo fishing boat is docked there.
  • Southside Vice City. The PTT Youngin$ compound and its store are located in Southside.
  • Rideout Customs. The second Ultimate Edition mod shop, located in Vice City.

These names come from Rockstar's own product copy, as reported on announcement day by Gaming Nexus and TheSixthAxis. The copy names places but does not give coordinates, so a name being confirmed does not make a marker position confirmed.

What changed on our map

Before this review, Watson Bay was marked as a rumoured name on our map, because it originally came from community mapping. Its appearance in Rockstar's Ultimate Edition description means the name is now official, so we have switched the marker to Confirmed and kept a clear note that its placement is still estimated. Lake Leonida was already confirmed.

Nothing else moved. The four county names on the map (Vice-Dale, Mariana, Kelly and Leonard) remain rumours: no Rockstar trailer, website text or product copy has used them. The same applies to Lummox County, which appears only in the disputed CYBERLEEK image covered on the leaked map page.

Names we deliberately left out

You will find many more names elsewhere, including districts and businesses from the 2022 footage leak and from datamines. We do not list them here, because repeating them in an article titled "officially named" would blur exactly the line this site exists to keep. When the game launches on 19 November, the in-game map will settle most of these questions within hours, and we will update the markers with the game itself as the source.
